Probably my very favourite multi-scale map I have made. I have wanted to make this map since I began making maps. I was really just waiting for the technology to catch up. With the vector maps – it finally did. While I was waited, I even took watercolour classes specifically so I would be ready to make this map.
Multi-scale vector basemap
This map is great because it is tied to the rest of the Esri vector basemaps and updates all the time. So it is a living map. I think that makes it pretty unique. It was influenced by all those watercolour maps that came before and digitally, by the Stamen map.
Works well in a variety of projects
This map is the perfect example of combining art and mapping.

Top 5 favourite maps I have designed
I could talk about this map a lot. The blog goes into a bit more detail. Each watercolour tile you see in the map was hand painted.
